I don`t want to be no jazztic, spastic, superficial plastic clone

Rundown.

I had a blast during the L.O.T.S. Everything was amusing from start to end. I learned a lot, and I will definitely continue to instill whatever realizations I have deemed during the duration of the seminar. It's been a great experience... something not to be easily forgotten, obviously.

I don't want to make things too elaborate. There were the activities bonding us together. TEAM BUILDING. Picture-taking. Fun, fun, and more fun. Every activity taught as a lesson - that leadership isn't taken for granted. It's not just a mere responsibility. It's not for the possibility to gain more popularity. It makes us better persons. To serve, to lead, to take action. To make a positive difference. And no matter how dysfunctional an organization may be, there always will be room for improvement... not because we welcome failure, but because it is failure that makes us stronger and makes us realize how much more we can do.

No need to bang your head on the wall.
Bang it on the door. It can still open for you.

I can sigh now. The four day-seminar/training was worth it.

When your back breaks, I'll be your backbone.

What is it like being a student leader?

Yes, it is being a good role model in school.
Student leadership is doing the right thing, as most believe.
People look up to you.
It comes with trust.
Others can depend on you.

Student leaders are backbones.

These are all true. There are so many definitions of a true student leader. Bottom line is, every student wants to make a certain difference in his or her school. Each one is willing to take action. And that virtue has to be understood.

I received a text message from Jamie and Andrea telling me that I need to get a letter from school at 2 PM. So, I had to drive to school, but Ms. Mel wasn't there yet. I met a few of my friends, and hang out with them for just a while outside of campus. I went back to check again, and Mylz, my ever-ready gig buddy, was there. Haha, finally, I had someone I was pretty close with! A few people had arrived already... and after a few card games (great way to pass time), the letters were distributed to us.

It is a Leadership Orientation and Training Seminar (LOTS) for student leaders. June 3 and 4 will be held in school, starting 8 AM. The next two days, June 5 and 6, will be an overnight stay at the Escamilla Farm, Buenos Aires, in Bago City. Pretty exciting, I must say. We have some stuff to bring for the whole thing. Our C.A.T. meeting will most likely be postponed because of this. Oh, well. At least, I can somehow enjoy my last week of summer before school resumes.

And I might as well go to one last gig of my summer. Something to end it officially. A clincher. That'd be great. :)))

SIMS 3. Yes, I loved to play Sims and its expansions. Then, Sims 2 came. Addiction.

Sims 3.
I'm buying myself one... just because. XD Hahaha. When does it get released here? Or are there copies being sold now? :b

SIEGE TOUR '08 DVD. I'm awaiting that as well.

Also, support Angulo! Spread the ANGULOVE! :))))

Build a ladder to the sky.

I went to a two-day workshop in school for the organization I joined in. I'm a member of the Kabulig organization. To roughly put it, "bulig" is Hiligaynon for "help"... so, basically, this org delves into service for the less fortunate brothers and sisters. The Kabulig organization is divided into smaller groups like Bahay Pag-asa, Gawad Kalinga, Catechism, Little Voices, Red Cross, Lasallian Peace Corps, Drugwatch, and Young Teachers of La Salle, which I'm part of, as co-head.

The first day of the workshop started at about 9 in the morning. The focus was more on team building activities and bonding moments. We ended at about 7:30 PM, after having a so-called 'Solidarity Night', where each of our groups had to present some sort of entertainment to the Kabulig staff. Some danced, sang, acted, or did all three. The second and last day centered on the planning of activities and projects for the coming school year. That morning, we had a short talk given by Gawad Kalinga ( Bacolod Chapter). They showed us some videos relating to GK villages, and what GK was really all about. Each member of each organization had to report their proposed plans in the afternoon. It went smoothly. Everyone had about 11 projects lined up. Those are difficult tasks to fulfill. I mean, achieving about five of them would already be a large impact for the Kabulig organization!

I'm a bit tired right now. These past few weeks of May have been a hassle for me. There were C.A.T. meetings, then, there was this, and now I am anticipating another C.AT. meeting on June 5 to prepare for our recollection on June 8. It's getting pretty hectic already. And to think that I might be joining Crossroads again this year... I'm having second thoughts. I might not have enough time to write for my column in the paper! XD

*__* I am not a robot. Hahaha.
I can do this.

And time starts to slow down and all of these patterns never change...

I was a grey canvas. Then, a lyrical deluge of thousand hues colored me in. All detritus seemed to fade away, and a splash of revival came pouring in.

After two unfortunate blogs and a very long hiatus, I am finally on a totally new radar. I have no travel hymn to share to you, though. I am enjoying every minute of my remaining summer days, before school starts on June 10. It's my last academic year in high school! Time DOES fly fast - too turbo fast, in fact. In less than a year, I will be a graduate. It's no hocus pocus, but the soul has to grow, right?

The month of May started out with me going to driving school. After successfully completing 15 hours, I can now hit the road. Getting my driver's license was a different story, though. LTO was really slow. Even getting a student's permit took time. You'd already be lucky in having all requirements ready in two days. I had to go back and forth, and back again, just for that.

Soon after, I had to undergo Citizenship Advancement Training (C.A.T.). I was an applicant to become an officer. After five days of intense, but fun preparation, exercises, drills, first-aid, and "torture", I became S1 Adjutant Officer. I'm satisfied, and so are my fellow officers with their positions. I know it's going to be a tough year. Not that we have the power now to control our whole batch... we want all of us to bond and unite, and recognize our abilities and capabilities. There are so many solidifying factors, but naming them might create a boring storyboard.

When school was out, I already had plans in going to Manila, and stay with family friends. Tables turned, and it never pushed through. Complications frustrated me a bit, but I couldn't really do anything. I was stuck here. :(( I was not the happiest person. I wanted to watch gigs. I wanted to meet new people. I wanted to check out colleges/universities. I guess, everything I hoped for was not in the right menu.

I've just been to a gig last Saturday. If you want to check the videos out, the link to my YT account is up there. ^^I had enjoyed it, but had to leave early to fetch my cousin at the port at 2 AM. And I had to wait an hour more for the boat to dock. >:((

So, this is my new haven. I hope it lasts now. It shall.
Inspire me by posting in my tagboard and changing links! ^__^
